Hi I was looking to see if anyone knows of any good online training courses for Aruba wireless equipment? My company is going to pay for me to take a course and since we are about to implement Aruba access points and switches I'd like to do an introduction into into wireless technologies and how to navigate the Aruba controllers and things like that.

    Hi,

As per your inputs IAWv8.4 (Implementing Aruba Wireless) is right course for you.

This course have 10 modules which very useful for who are planning to implement Aruba wireless.

Aruba is providing online and ILT trainings as well.

More info Refer IAW training details in website.

...and also don't forget the CWNA as well! :) It will give you a good understanding of wireless technologies in general.

There is/was an Aruba Scholarship CWNA promotion a shortly while ago.

There are two courses that are ArubaOS 8 related.

IAW - Implementing Aruba WLAN (3 day course)

SWDI - Scalable WLAN Design & Implementation (5 day course)

You should take IAW before taking SWDI.

I always recommend an in person class. You are less distracted and you will learn from the other students too. These courses are also offered in a virtual format. Instructor is live and you see their slides/screen and listen to them and can ask question.

CWNA is also an excellent source of knowledge. You can attend a course, or purchase one of the two study guides; one by Sybex and the other by CertiTrek (you can find them on Amazon; compare for yourself; my recommendation would be biased).

    I hope this helps,

@Tim Haynie Thanks a lot for the courses. It was very clear explanation. I would request you if you get time please make more videos since there are limited videos on Aruba Wireless available.

Thanks once again for the efforts you put.
