We often get questions around the life cycle of an AP.  Aruba does not pre-announce End of Sale dates.  But that doesn't stop people from asking and wondering how long they should expect to be able to purchase APs. But that only tells part of the story.  It doesn't share information around when an AP was introduced and how long an AP will typically be for sale.  I say typically because there are a lot of factors that will impact the sale period including wifi standard shifts, replacement product releases, customer adoption, HW limitations that impact features, etc.

Parking APs - At some point in an APs life cycle, it will not have the hardware required to run new features. It may be due to limitations in memory, CPU, controller support, encryption types, etc.  When this happens an AP is "parked" in a version of code.  That version of code will be supported as long as the AP is supported. 

The table below contains a sample of our APs and their launch (FCS) date and their end of sale dates.  Keep in mind end of support is 5 years after end of sale.  Parking version vary.  Please see the end of sale page.
