    Hi all,

My Aruba controller has been moved to new office and new WAN address and hence all VIA clients need new profiles downloaded.
This works fine for Win10 and Android clients but fails on iOS ( iPhone & iPad ).
iOS app behaves differently when attempting download from inside or outside office premises.
I don't get any user + pwd input in either case as one would expect.

When trying to download the profile from local subnet I get "The internet connection appears to be offline" which is bs.
    (I'm online alright...)

If I type in my wan address I don't even get an error message...nothing
No logs can be seen either...just a silent ignore....

Any idea what the problem might be?

There is not enough information to help you figure this out.

    Things to try:
    - The client needs to be able to access the controller on port TCP 443 to download a profile initially.  Make sure that port is open.
    - After the profile is downloaded, either an ip address or fqdn is pushed to the client for the actual connection.

    - Open a TAC case so see if you have something misconfigured.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

The client(s) do have access to 443. both internally and externally. ( No firewalls involved internally as the controller and clients are on same subnet )

The profile contains the fqdn host of company wan interface.
The download works like a charm on all clients except the iOS ones.

Reason for posting here is to figure out if there is known issues with iOS app, as this behaves different than all the other ones.

Which version of IOS and which version of ArubaOS?  Yes, there are some issues.
I would look here under known and resolved issues to see if any apply to you:

    iPhone X / iOS 14.1 / VIA v4.0.0.2003270
    The controller is a 650 , running 6.2.1.4.

I've got a feeling it might be related to SSL/TLS, but not sure...
