This might not be the best or easiest way, but I think you can add JavaScript to the page and maybe a string to launch the default browser could be added. This way the page is always opened using a browser and not the embedded browser, but it's still automatic for the users. Unfortunately I'm no web developer and can't offer the string(s) to use, but just a thought.
Not really a fix, more of a workaround, but something to keep in the back pocket if this becomes a bigger problem.
