    Hi all,

    I have an existing network and suddenly we have power interruption and after the restart of the controller and access point some of the access points was down, and as of checking in the controller I have a duplicate IP and the one with the same IP was DOWN and the other is UP. pelase check image attached.

    I am a beginner on the network setup, please help.

    If an AP is down, the controller will display its last know IP in the Controllers DB. If the IP has been re-assigned to another AP which is UP via DHCP then it will also show this. If you wish to clear any stale entries for cosmetic reasons, use the below.

    (Aruba7030) [mynode] #clear gap-db
    ap-name AP name
    lms Clear all APs associated with an LMS
    stale-ap AP in down state at a controller
    wired-mac AP wired MAC address

    It is ok to clear it using on Gui? I am not familiar with configuration.

    How are you assigning IP addresses to your APs? Is that through DHCP? Where is the DHCP server running? Could it be that you have two DHCP servers serving the same IP addresses (resulting into conflicts)? Could it be that your DHCP server is running out of leases? Could it be that you had two DHCP servers before each handling half of the space, and after the outage only have one resulting into a reduced number of IP addresses available?
