Moreover, in a redundant environment you can perform a "hitless upgrade" if things are set up correctly. I've used it in a 24/7 environment, and it works well.
Further, if you have a virtual Mobility Master, there is no cost to set up a redundant VM for failover purposes. You would, however, need redundant virtual Managed Devices.

Sure, when you upgrade the controller the APs will download the firmware from the controller and reboot. Both controller and APs must have the same firmware version to work properly.
