    Hi Everyone,

I can't get VRRP to work properly on my pair of Mobility Masters (8.7.1.1)

I have set it up multiple times following the guides and the YouTube guide and although it is pretty basic and looks foolproof i can't get it to work properly.

"Show Switches" shows that both are visible, although one shows as status=up the other is down. DB sync has tried and failed many many times.
The logs show VRRP "mismatched authentication type" errors but  how is this even a thing as surely there is only the simple password and that is it?

I am using a pir of virtual MMs on Hyper-V. is this my problem?  I am using "nested virtualisation" which gives the spoofing mac address capabilities but there is no way to get promiscuous mode, is this the problem?

this is driving me mad now... and i'm still so near the start....

Can you ping the other MM from the first one? VRRP uses a multicast addresses 224.0.0.18 to communicate between "routers"
