Air Monitor Placement | Triangulation

    Hi, 

    Can an Air Monitor (AM) be used for triangulation or do we need three data APs to perform this function?

    Conceptually, the air monitor is best, because it can scan all channels quicker than an AP on a channel serving clients.  Saying that, the accuracy of the location would be dependent on the requirements of the software used to obtain that location.
