I need to send messages out of the controller towards a syslog server.

In particular I need to send the following message that I found in the syslog guide.

500010 “Station [mac:%m], [ip:%s]: Mobility trail, on switch [switchip:%p], VLAN [vl:%d], AP [apname:%s], [essid:%s]/[bssid:%s]/[phy:%s] “ Description: This is the Mobility trail message, it is generated every time a station moves to a new BSSID. This allows to track a specific station movement in the network over time”

The problem is it tells you what the message is but not how to actually enable it so that it will start sending to the syslog.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hi,

From the syslog guide I can see that message is a "user" category and level "warning". Warning is the default level of logs that are sent to the configured syslog server.

Here's a guide about how to configure syslog on your controller.
