    I can't seem to find the right option or ability to create a role to disable idle timeout on a read-only user in Aruba central for monitoring.

    You can't disable it completely but you can change the idle timeout. 

     

    Click on the user settings in the right corner.

    Here you can change the idle timeout. The max value is 10080 minutes.
