    Hi all,

I have a few questions about running mobility master to make global changes to all controllers.

We currently have around 8 controllers on 4 sites.  Master-Master (active -standby deployment)

If we deploy mobility master to manage all these controllers what way is best to configure? Can it run in the cloud or would it need to be a phyiscal host on one of our sites?

How does the mobility master communicate with each site? Does the mobility master need to be given a public IP to talk to each external site via the internet?

    Thanks

    This doc may help: https://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-Based-WLANs/ArubaOS-8-Fundamentals-Guide/ta-p/428914

In particular, page 12 (I believe) details the Mobility Master component.

The Mobility Master needs to be able to communicate directly with the deployed managed devices (md)/controllers. This may be accomplished with VPN, by using a controller/md deployed near the MM acting in the role of a VPN Concentrator (VPNC).
