Protocol for Ring Network

    There are HPE FF 5940 switches used in the Ring Network.  Attached the logical diagram.  Wondering which would be the best protocol to configure for this network.  RRPP?

    5940s support Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS).

    By the way, is ERPS more recommended comparing to RRPP or other protocols?

    it all depends on what you are trying to achieve, as such there is no recommendation. ERPS is an ITU standard and hence if you need interoperability, then that would be my choice.
