Our current wifi solution consist of Aruba 515's and two clearpass servers. We have multiple Vlans, one which is an Authentication only Vlan that accepts only devices that are already on the domain, and has access to AD to authenticate users and then clearpass assigns them their respective Vlan. We noticed when connected to LAN the laptops log in within a minute, but on wifi it can take up to 10 minutes ( same user).
We notice on the windows event log a 4199 TCPIP error pointing to a conflict with our router MAC address. The IP that is conficted shows up on our DHCP pool as assigned ot that Laptop. Any suggestions?
From your description it looks to me that either the router has been configured to use the same MAC address as the wireless adapter of your laptop, or your the wireless adapter has been configured to use the same MAC address as your router.
I would check both device configurations and verify the active MAC address, and revert back to the network adapter built in address. What may help as well is to run a packet capture (Wireshark/tcpdump) on the network segment that is used for the wireless clients.
