Custom certificates when migrating from 6.x to 8.x

    I am migrating 9 controllers from 6.5.4.6 to 8.4.0.5. I will use manual way as we will upgrade one by one and we want to have full control over the process. Iknow that configuration will be erased after the migration to 8.4.0.5, but what about certificates?

     

    - Are they migrated to 8 so will be available after the upgrade?

     

    - is it required to export them and import them again? but what about private keys?

     

    These are public certificates and not easy to regenrate them, I need to use the same current certificated after the migration.

    I would not count on anything surviving the upgrade from 6.x to 8.x.

     

    You can do a flashbackup of the controller and the certificates should be in /flash/certmgr
