If you update to the lastest firmware on both, Mesh should be enabled automatically.

Mesh should work by default.  What are you trying to do?

Hi Wanasans, I have the same setup, 2 IAP-105, same firmware and followed the User Guide to the letter, first connected the APs to a DHCP server, they showed up having the mesh portal role, after this we disconnected one of the APs and connected again, it never shows in the VC again as it should (as a Mesh Point).

If you were able to make it work please post it here, thanks

Are you saying that you disconnected it from the wired network and then connected it to the wired network again, OR did you just provide power so that it could see the other access point?

Today I upgraded the two IAP-105 to 6.1.2.3-2.0.0.2_31127, and I can´t make them work with mesh, I started all over after upgrading firmware, connected the IAPs, made a new WLAN, diconnected one of them (power and network) and reconnected power, this mesh point should be seen in the VC under Access Point, nothing happens, I´ve cheched if there´s any configuration regarding mesh in the VC GUI but I don´t find any, please if anyone has made this setup work maybe can point us to where the problem is, thanks in advance

    Hi hlv,

Attached are the outputs first with both APs connected to the switch and after one of the APs was disconnected (data only)

Now they work, it seems the problem was a Country code, in my case is CL, I changed for testing purposes to CA and everything is fine now.

I have opened a case with TAC so they pass this information to developers

The Country code that did not work was CL, for testing we changed it to CA and it did work

I setup 2 AP105 with wired and configure a BSS on the VC, after this two APs reboot,  disconnect one Ethernet link only power supply, it can works as mesh point.

Where did you get this info about 5 ghz? I'm afraid this is not correct and if Aruba is not permitting 5 ghz. For country code CL they've made a mistake.

    Hello.

Maybe this will help somebody :)

Next steps works for me (from factory reset):

    1) connect all (two) AP's to LAN, give them IP from DHCP

    2) connect to VC

    3) configure country - CZ works fine for me; SK works too

    4) disconnect ethernet cable from 'MESH point AP'

    5) unplug 'MESH point AP' from power (reboot it) and wait to boot

After this steps one AP act as Mesh Portal and second as Mesh Point.

Now you can do some other configuration as ESSID etc.

    REMEMBER !!!!

If there is Mesh Portal and Mesh Point working, 5GHz radios will not propagate your ESSID.
