    Hello,

I want to install AP 104 with external antenna-18 using only one spatial stream (chain 0), do I connect ANT-18 to R0/A0 and R1/A0 using both 2.4HGz and 5GHZ??.

Can I use any cable from ANT-18 except the central cable interchangeably to connect to port R0/A0 and R1/A0?

Is there some way to disable chain 1 for AP 104??.

What is the correct configuration to do it?.

    Thank you

    Hi Friend,

Here is the method to identify and connect Ant-18 to AP104,

AP 104 has 4 connectors which are used for external antennas and out of 4 connectors; 2 for each band/radio.

    Antenna connector mapping:

    R0/A0: Radio 0 (5 GHz), chain 0
    R0/A1: Radio 0 (5 GHz), chain 1
    R1/A0: Radio 1 (2.4 GHz), chain 0
    R1/A1: Radio 1 (2.4 GHz), chain 1

    Comming to Ant-18 connections,

    Hope got clarity on this,

If my reply is usefull, please give kudos :)

Please feel free to comeback for any further assistance on this.

    Hi,

Yes we can disable chain as per our requirement. in fact it should not create any issue.

you will find that option in the AP provisioning page as shown in the picture,
