currently the configuration of the network is ,

    VMM is in: 192.168.XX.23

    MD1: 192.168.XX.20

    MD2: 192.168.XX.21

MD3: 192.168.YY.25 --> this controller is not joining to the VMM, this is indifferent VLAN.

here: there is no issue with IPsec, given proper IPsec.

    Hi,

Just wondering if you were able to resolve this issue and if so how did you do so?
I faced the same problem today.

At both of the MM and MD level was the option to configure a IPv6 address set?

    Hi Craig,

IPV6 was not set on any of the devices, the new MDs are appearing on the MM but they wont pull the config from the MM and join the cluster.

Hey, did anyone get this fixed? I have the same issue with 8.6.0.11 on a 7005 controller and vmm

    I found the answer!

You have to make sure the VLAN / IP of the controller shows up in MD>System->Controller IP Address. Check the MAC address and IP and/or VLAN ID that the controller uses to connect to the rest of the network.

    Please check #6:

You have to make sure the VLAN / IP of the controller shows up in MD>System->Controller IP Address. Check the MAC address and IP and/or VLAN ID that the controller uses to connect to the rest of the network.

I mean, in retrospect, if you read the error "CONTROLLER-IP/V6 NOT SET", the answer is right there...just make sure the IP is on the System->Controller setting. You just need to say what VLAN to use - if you have a trunk like I do.

    Regards,

    Ambi
