    Aruba NetEdit 2.1 Released!


    NetEdit 2.1 release Highlights:

    1. TACACS support of user accounts

    2. NAE deployment with Solution Config

    3. Improved Network Device Discover: CSV File Import

    4. Fabric Composer Cross Launch


    1. TACACS support of user accounts

    Step1: Add reachable TACACS server  (like clearpass)



    Step2: Configure profile, policies and services on reachable TACACS Server (like Clearpass).

    Authentication

    –Add netedit user (admin/technician) to TACACS/AAA server

    If it is Clearpass,

    –add to local users list under Identity

    –Also add netedit to device list under Network

    Authorization

    Create an admin and technician profile with right privilege level.

    Admin = 15

    Technician = 1

    Add them to policies.

    Create TACACS Service attach policy





    2. NAE deployment with Solution Config

    Centralized NAE agent deployment on to AOS-CX switches




    3. Improved Network Device Discover: CSV File Import

    File .CSV is must



    4. AFC Integration

    Discover AFC switches through Aruba NetEdit!

    In the screenshot there are 2 "admin" username instances: is it expected ?

    Good observation Vincent! 

    As you see in above screenshot both (admin) are not active. It was test case to check admin as real local administrator and another as technician from TACACS.

    • In short: Always local 'admin' user will be given highest priority. In otherwords, if admin user is configured on locally and tacacs, locally configured admin will be prioritized.
