What you could do is to find the MAC address (from your router/core switch) and see what the MAC Vendor is for it.
Or check in your switches to what port Airwave is connected to, then follow the cable or check if there are more MAC addresses allocated to that port. For hardware, you would expect only one MAC address behind the port.
One other option is in the UI to check System -> Performance, there you can see the number and type of CPUs and installed memory. You can match that against the specifications of the hardware appliances or what you have in your virtualization platform.
There probably are smarter ways to find out, but these were the ones that I could think of.
