Hello! We plan to use activate ZTP to airwave, and deploy a template to factory default arubaOS 2930m switches.
Therefore we have created some nested folders analogous to the sites and buildigs etc. in AirWave.
So the nested folder looks like: Top:ParentFolder:SubFolder1:SubFolder2:SubFolder3
Our goal is to place the new switches wit ZTP after the first boot directly to SubFolder3.Therefore we want to use the "AMP Folder" field of the Switch to Airwave provisioning type. The activate user guide describes the "AMP Folder" field as follows: "AMP Folder: An AMP folder defines permissions for devices placed within that folder. Enter the name of an AMP folder to specify the folder in to which the device will be placed."Can anybody explain the expected folder definition of this field in detail?
Should we type in the exact folder name of SubFolder3, or is it expected to type in the whole path like we do it with DHCP ZTP in the format like:
And if we just need to type in the name of the third subfolder, what happens if two folders with the same name are existing in AirWave?Thank you for your input!
Hello!Meanwhile, I found this howto:
HOW TO POINT IAP TO AIRWAVE USING ACTIVATE (arubanetworks.com)Can we apply the description of the "Organisation" field for IAP to AirWave rules on the "AMP Folder" field of the Switch to AirWave rule (except the first part for groups)?Thank you for clarification!
Hello!I tested the Activate to Airwave ZTP with nested folders, and it's workin similar to DHCP ZTP.
Enter the group in the group field, and the folders separated with colons (without Top).
