    Hello,

    we will replace our Comware switches with Arube CX. I have a couple of configuration questions.

    1. Do we have to enter data for IPv6 or we can ignore it if IPv6 is not used?
    2. When is a port set to "no shutdown"?
    3. When is a port set to "no routing"?
    4. With which command you can configure the following?
       - gvrp enable
       - burst-mode enable
       - stp bpdu-protection enable
       - stp edged-port enable
       - stp enable (I think it is default enabled)
    5. LACP Configuration
        Comware
           interface Bridge-Aggregation1
           port link-type trunk
           port trunk permit vlan all
           link-aggregation mode dynamic

           interface GigabitEthernet1/0/45
           port link-type trunk
           port trunk permit vlan all
           port link-aggregation group 1

           interface GigabitEthernet1/0/46
           port link-type trunk
           port trunk permit vlan all
           port link-aggregation group 1

       Arube (I'm not sure if this configuration is correct?
           switch# config
           switch(config)# interface lag 1
           switch(config-lag-if)# no shutdown
           switch(config-lag-if)# lacp mode active
           switch(config-lag-if)# vlan trunk allowed all

           switch(config-lag-if)# interface 1/1/45
           switch(config-if)# no shutdown
           switch(config-if)# lag 1

           switch(config-if)# interface 1/1/46
           switch(config-if)# no shutdown
           switch(config-if)# lag 1

    We'll get the new switches in a couple of weeks and I'm just getting used to the configuration.
    However, we will not immediately replace all the switches at once, we will gradually replace them.

    thanks
    Marcel

    The CLI Reference guide may help you to get these questions answered.

    If you don't use IPv6, you can leave the commands out in the configuration and run IPv4 only.
