Single command to bring a port to default config in Aruba Switch

Mar 07, 2016 05:47 PM

Q:

How can we bring a port to its default config in Aruba Switches?

A:

When working with Aruba Mobility Switches, there would be few instances where a port has to be bought to its default config state, so the new profiles can be applied again. Removing each associated profile would take time and gives us chance of configuration error. This one command suggested below would help us greatly:

Below is an output from the product version 7.4.

To bring the port back to the default config we have 2 options:

  • reset to default config with a single command
  • modify/remove the required parametes after logging into the port.

Reset to default config with a single command:

(ArubaS1500-24P) (config) #no interface gigabitethernet 0/0/10
