Trying to update the firmware on the above switch from 2.02. When I try and copy 3.03 or 3.02 app files to the switch (using xmodem) it comes up with a message saying that the file is not an app file and asks me to rename it (without the app extension). It is then unable to select this file to load.
Do I need to use an interim version, or is there some other issue? (switch original 3Com model no. 3CR17172-91)
