Comware

Hi all.  We have a 3Com 8810 switch we are going to retire soon, but it is in pristine shape for being up 229 weeks straight.  I will likely see if we can move it to a DR site or our test network, but I am curious.  Are any software updates still being released for it?  We're running 3.01.31r, which is somewhat behind the 3.01.32s256rc07 release, but even that release is from 2010.  The only updates past that are early release, which I guess are specific bug fixes.

What improvements would I realize if I brought it up to the latest available? 

Also, do I understand that HP is not selling any more official support for this model any more?

I do not know about the software support sales.

The box is running comware 3 however, so typically at this point, only minor updates and fixes are released for comware 3 devices, so I would not hope for much changes anymore,

3Com 8810 Platform is totally End of Support (SW and HW). Maybe they still have replacement parts somewhere in a corner, but not quarantied.
