    Is there a way to enable a standalone/survey mode on 700 series APs to allow them to be used for wireless site survey?

    In general these steps should work:

    • Create a bridged forwarding mode WLAN. 
    • Under Network > Configuration > General > Advanced > Miscellaneous make sure "can be used without uplink" is enabled and "disable SSID when" is set to None. 
    • Create manual device level overrides for static channel assignment/EIRP in Access Points > [AP] > Radio.
    • Make sure the configuration syncs to the AP.

    I've seen an oddity on 10.7.1.1 where the AP will reboot after 6 minutes on first bring up on a power injector alone and then subsequently will remain up. Try it out and let us know if this works for you.
