  • 1.  8.1 upgrade process

    Hi all,

     

    I'm getting ready to upgrade my controllers from 8.1.0.2 to 8.1.0.4, and I'm looking to try out the new "hitless" process.  I've found plenty of good docs on upgrading MD clusters, but I haven't seen anything that spells out what to do with the MMs.  Are there any special steps I should take for them, or should I just do a regular copy to flash/reboot on both MMs (they're in an HA pair) and then proceed to the cluster upgrade wizard once that's done?

    This video shows a live/cluster upgrade from ArubaOS 8.1.0.2 to 8.1.0.3. And might help you to find the correct steps.

    Thanks very much Herman, that was perfect!

     

    (For the impatient, you just upgrade the MM as before, then proceed to the fancy new cluster upgrade process for the MDs after that's done)
