I have a HP 8212zl it has two mm cards I tried to updade the firmware from 12.62 to 15.10.009 I had to update to 13.68 first so I updated the secondary image to 15.10.009 and booted the standby card from secondary image now the MM1 standby card is stuck in unknown status. I cant reset the card it is as if it is stuck trying to load 15.10.009 I have since tried to roll it back to 13.68 but it will not change the status of the MM1 module.

problem solved:

To get this to work I preformed the following tasks:

1. Powered down the switch
2. Removed the active working MM2
3. Restored power with only the problem MM1 in the switch
4. Once the switch came up, it recognized the MM1 but was using the old flash
5. I previously downloaded new firmware file and uploaded it to the switch then rebooted the switch to that       firmware
6. Once it came up I then rebooted it a second time
7. After the switch was up I inserted MM2 and repeated the flash update process for the secondary image
8. Once both images and modules were recognized by the switch I performed a redundancy check by issuing a warm switch over.
9. Once that was successful I then set the active management module to MM1 and MM2 to standby then set the default boot to the primary image and rebooted the switch for a final time.
