Bridge mode is limited to 32 APs per L2 broadcast domain and captive portal is supported, although requires specific configuration and using a server initiated workflow.
Bridge mode, at least when using AOS 8, should also be avoided due to these limitations and challenges. Instant or AOS 10 would be better options.
That said, running an AP in a remote office with the controllers located across a WAN link is only supported when running in Remote AP mode which is analogous to a Microbranch AP in AOS 10.

CAP with WLAN Gateways in AOS8 are designed for tunneled mode. Bridge mode is possible when using a different vlan id.
Only use it in a small environment with max. 16 AP within the same roaming domain, you should avoid bridge-mode in larger designs.
Please note that captive-portal isn't supported in bridge-mode. More info see the Arubao AOS8 Fundamentals Guide.

Subject: Accesspoint SSID Bridged and Tunneled
Hi All.
Have a Problem with an Accesspoint, located in a Remote Office. Connected to the Conductor as a CAP.
i'm running there several SSID
One of them should be tunneled to the Controller.
Problem seems to be that one Bridged SSID need the same VLAN ID as the Tunneled SSID.
At first i tought, no Problem because one is bridged and the other one is tunneled. But it did not work.
Should i have to pick two diffrent VLAN IDs ?
Thanks.
