  • 1.  Add CPPM in a cluster to Active Directory/Domain

    There were 3 CPPM servers setup in a cluster. The active server was the only one joined to the domain. I'm trying to join the other two using different username/passwords and getting errors.

     

    I get "duplicate name on network". Was wondering if this is due to the servers in a cluster? Does AD/LDAP see the cluster as one host and that when I try to join the other two, it is shown as the same devie as the active server?

    No, each server is independent. Where are you seeing this?

    It's on the second server I'm trying to join the domain to. Please see the attached screenshot. Thanks for your response!

    Try targeting a specific domain controller instead of using the “returned by DNS” option.

    I'm a dummy and thought I was hitting a specific server...but thanks to you, realized I wasn't. Nice work!
