    Hi to all!
I would like you to please recommend what is the best strategy to add members to a VSF in a ring topology of 4 Aruba 2930F switches without MAD. The idea is to minimize the disruption of services as much as possible.

    Thank you very much.
    Best regards

    Gabriel

Hi Gabriel, technically speaking an Aruba 2930F VSF deployed using a Ring Topology (thus where last VSF Member is connected back to first VSF Member) is not going to suffer of a VSF Split scenario in case the VSF Ring is necessarily broken to add an additional VSF Member...that's because - with the ring opened - any VSF Member is still connected to any other VSF Member through the resulting chain (that's the contrary of what is going to happen having a VSF deployed using a Chain Topology and you break the chain of VSF links for the very same purpose).

Have a look here for Best Pratices about new VSF Member provisioning.
