I'm also using a NetScout Aircheck G2 with the latest software 5.2.0.1862 and Aruba Instant version 8.12.0.1_89864. I found the advertise-ap-name command for each of my ssid-profiles on the CLI. If I enter that command for each of my SSIDs, the command is accepted, but it doesn't show up in the config, and I'm not picking up the AP names using my NetScout Aircheck G2. I'll bring my Ekahau sidekick in tomorrow and test, but I really like the roaming test on the Aircheck, and Ekahau doesn't really have something like that, but I do like Ekahau better for surveys.
Anyway, the command advertise-ap-name seems to be valid, it just doesn't seem to work. Anyone else have similar results and find a work around?

Here is another one missing this feature! I'm using a Netscout AirCheck G2 that claims it has support for Aruba AP-names, but wondered why I wasn't seeing them in my Instant networks and stumbled upon this post.
Also testing The Bald One's excellent "WiFi Ping" tool [*] and was going to suggest as an improvment to auto-detect AP-Names from the Aruba Vendor Tag, but again, it's not going to help me as I mainly work with Instant networks.
So, I'm really hoping to see this feature in future releases, as it would be really useful when throubleshooting roaming issues.
