We're having some issues with Airgroup - Airplay. Airgroup enabled devices are not discovering one another:
iPhone/iPad unable to discover Apple TV via Airplay. This happens when on the same SSID and when each device is connected to a different Airgroup enabled SSID.
All VLANs are included in open-flow profile, services i.e. default-airplay is included in the Airgroup service and all of the relevant VLANs are disallowed (users and servers) within the Airgroup profile.
This has been working before - only discovered recently, as all staff are working from home. Upgraded to 8.7.1.7 in December.
AirGroupService Table
---------------------
Service status service ID Auto-Associate Description
------- ------ ---------- -------------- -----------
default-airplay Enabled _airplay._tcp AirPlay
_appletv-v2._tcp
_raop._tcp
Using command: 'show airgroup block-queries' there are thousands of '._sub._apple-mobdev2._tcp' entries. Could this be relevant to the airplay issues? If so, should '._sub._apple-mobdev2._tcp' be added as part of the default-airplay service? Or is there anything else which needs adding?
AirGroup dropped Query IDs
--------------------------
Service ID #query-hits Thread Num
---------- ----------- ----------
92c007f3._sub._apple-mobdev2._tcp 6 1
95cd0839._sub._apple-mobdev2._tcp 8 1
924c07e1._sub._apple-mobdev2._tcp 65 1
98f40845._sub._apple-mobdev2._tcp 2 1
9174081d._sub._apple-mobdev2._tcp 8 1
All user devices are appearing in the airgroup user table with the correct MACs and usernames.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
