    Hi all,
We have a customer with ALE controllers and APs. They are running Aruba code and are under Aruba support.
would it be possible for this hardware to run AOS10? I'm guessing Activate won't know about them so we may not be able to automatically onboard them into Central.

I dont think ALE supports AOS10. But you can double check it with TAC.

    Hi.

Nor really sure what you mean with ALE controllers. ALE is VM for analytics. The same function in AOS10 is available with Advanced subscriptions and its called Streaming API.

If AP models are supported on Central and AOS10, then you can run it. Check Release Notes. ALE engine is not HW.

In AOS10 you have an option to enable sending data from AOS10 APs to ALE server. Didn't use it so far but could be a viable option to get streaming data from AOS10 without advanced subscription if you already have ALE.

You can also refer to the developer docs to get started with the APIs in Aruba Central

    Presence Streaming APIs:

    Location Streaming APIs:

Sorry ALE is Alcatel Lucent Enterprise, not the Location engine. The existing hardware is running Aruba software with Aruba support.

I think this is 72xx something controller. If you can register serial numbers of aps and controllers on greenlake portal, it shoul be good. But you need to check if the model of aps is on the supported list.  If APs are campuy type you need to convert them to instant/aos10 from controller.
