  • 1.  AP-105 factory reset

I have a couple of older ap-105 that I was trying to do a factory rest on but none of the apboot commands seem to work.  These do not have the reset button on them.  It appears that it accepts the commands but nothing changes.  What I'm actually trying to do is change the controller address on them from 10.1.253.2 to 10.1.253.4 as the master controller address has changed since they were last used.  I tried "setenv master 10.1.253.4", "purgeenv" and "factory_reset" but nothing works.  I've tried from two different computers and with both teraterm and putty.  I've even tried different various serial settings.  I've tried this on several ap-105 aps I have  on hand.

Some (later) AP-105 units will have a reset button, but many do not.

What's the APboot version on these APs? Prior to version 1.0.8.3 I'm not sure if the "factory_reset" command works. Keep in mind this goes back to 2010 or earlier, so my memory may be blurry..

The apboot version is 1.0.9.12.  These do not have the factory reset button.  When I do a printenv it says the master address is 10.1.243.4, but when it goes through the boot process it shows Controller Address: 10.1.253.2

Hmm, and when you interrupt the bootprocess you can't do a "factory_reset"? That's weird. I just tried that on a sample I have here. APboot is a bit newer (1.2.4.4), but no problem doing a factory reset from the boot prompt.
