    Hello all,

Hopefully you can help me with the problem below.

We have two mobility controller 7210, version 8.11, in our environment. primary and secondary controller.

We have different types of AP, both the 535 and 635.

Now I have an AP 535 that won't start.

Normally we grab an AP, connect it to the network, wait 10 minutes and the AP is added to the access devices list.

Only this AP does not appear in the list.

Regarding the LED status, this AP gives a green LED blinks 9 times and then a red LED blink 1 time.

What can I do to check what is going on with this AP?

I have also tried to make the AP factory default, but this did not help.

    Thank you in advance.

Best method is to connect a console cable to the AP and monitor the boot process.  Open a TAC case if you don't have the cable.

I have a console cable, how can you connect this with the AP and login ?
    Can you use putty?

And what is the login credentials and the command to monitor it ?

    Thank you.

Any terminal program that supports serial connectivity can be used.

You're wanting to watch the boot process to see if anything sticks out as useful.  If you don't know what might be useful, open a case with TAC.

Original Orange console cable AP-CBL-SERU connect to microusb console port. Usually Windows will already have the correct driver. If not, go to networkingsupport.hpe.com and download USB driver. Use whatever terminal emulation program you like. Speed is 9600 8 N.

No credentials are needed for monitoring boot process.

You'll want to open a case with TAC on that one and probably get an RMA.

It seems so indeed. Can you tell me how to make a case in TAC? Never done that.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi @Jordy de Kleijn

Go to networkingsupport.hpe.com and select Case Management tile

select Start a New Case tile

    and fill required info there.

Here is a TAC User Guide.

If you can't access Networking Support portal, onboard yourself to it and create a case.

This is strange, when I want to enter my serial number to make a case. I get the following error:

    Invalid time value

Serial number not found. ApolloError: Invalid time value

What can I do now ?

Go to https://support.hpe.com and in warranty check enter your serial number to check, if it is correctly registered in the system.
