I've got a AP515 on a Cisco switch with 15.4W:

I don't get in online with IPM configured:

Is there anything I can do?

Are those switches PoE of PoE+?

From the AP515 Datasheet :

Why does the switch shows a power consumption of 15.4W while "show ap debug system-status ap-name AP515 | begin "Power Status" delivers 13W?

Hi

There is a difference between power on the port and power on the AP. There is less of power on the cable.

Your IPM settings will not do much AFAIK.

USB is not used, 515 is 2x2 MIMO on 2.4GHz, your are using only ETH0.

Maybe look into reducing the TX power on 2.4GHz.

But I can't test it at the moment for you, sorry.

Looks like you may have IPM configured, but it's not actually turned on / enabled.

With IPM the AP-515 should power up without restrictions, and apply restrictions when needed as configured.

The status from both switch and AP seem as expected.

that solved the problem.

I activated the default ap-system profile in the web-gui but didn't attached it to the ap-group-profile on the cli.

I thought the default profile is automatically bound to the ap-group-profile.....unlucky.
