    Hi,

I have been testing an AP-535 and noticed it wasn't broadcasting any SSIDS.

So I checked in the system logs and I am seeing this message:

    Jul 21 13:12:50 :305061: <7178> <WARN> |stm| sapm_override_ap_radio_prof: AP BFS-AH-FLOOR3-AP01-XXXXX: Disabling radio 0. Power profile is POE-AF
    Jul 21 13:12:50 :305061: <7178> <WARN> |stm| sapm_override_ap_radio_prof: AP BFS-AH-FLOOR3-AP01-XXXXX: Disabling radio 1. Power profile is POE-AF

This is plugged into a Cisco 2960-X switch (One port only) and I believe I have enabled LLDP.

Can you confirm if I need two ports to power this device correctly? Or if there is something I am missing on the switch or controller which is causing me this error?

    Thanks

    Scott

Actually believe I got this working it is now broadcasting my SSIDS.   I had to enabled LLDP on the whole switch rather than the interface.

So it seems it can be powered from one ethernet port on the 2960-X as long as LLDP is enabled on the switch to transmit and receive.

It only requires a single connection.  What is the configuration on the Cisco port?

I had the lldp med-tlv-select power-management on but i hadn't enabled the lldp transmit and receive on the port - so this is probably why it wasn't working?

The fix on that thread was to disable the "no lldp tlv-select power-management"  however I never had this on to begin with.  The fix for me was to enable lldp on the switch using the command: lldp run

I then enabled lldp transmit and lldp receive

It then seemed that the switch was able to send the correct power to the port and the AP therefore did not disable the radios.
