  • 1.  APs and AMs in same vlan?

Having an issue in a building where we just installed WiFi.  4 AP-635s in AP mode and 1 AP-535 in AM mode.

having issues with dropped connections and very slow speeds. I noticed on the PoE switch that all 4 APs and the 1 AM are all on the same vlan, which is not how it's supposed to be.

obviously , going to correct this, but just curious. Would this be the cause of our poor connection issues? And if so, why

AirMonitors specifically need to be on the same VLAN by design in order to do any correlation. AM/AP on same VLAN is not a problem.

There are various reasons for dropped connections and very slow speeds

You can check the settings like SSID Datarates, Interference, Channel width, AP Transmit power, and AP uplink statistics
