Subject: Aruba 2530 switch firmware update YA_16_11_0019 upload failed - not a valid signature
…or without TFTP…
I looked for solutions with a spare 2530-24G.
Long story very short:
- It seems to me that YA_16_11_0018 breaks the upload signature checking feature.
- It seems to me that YA_16_11_0020 restores it.
- Booting the switch from the secondary image let me update the primary image ro YA_16_11_0019 and YA_16_11_0020 (the secondary image was < YA_16_11_0018).
- Loosing connection with the switch happened, due to cookies in my browser.
Wish you all a nice update session ;)

I got a reply that TFTP should be used to install these updates, though I have not tested yet. I hope it helps someone!

HI,
I've been installing more than 10 updates for two 2530 switches before, always downloading .swi firmware updates from the Aruba support pages. All happened as expected. Now I'm trying to install the YA_16_11_0019 and I get an error upon upload (failed, not a valid signature).. This happens for both switches. I installed the YA_16_11_0018 a few minutes before, and everything was OK as usual. I tried a second download from a different PC and OS (macOS 13) and it goes the same way.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong ?
