Good morning, I'm setting up a new 3810m stack in a ring topology with 8 switches to replace an existing 5412 chassis that we have. By default it doesn't appear that the stack has Spanning Tree enabled. The switches contained in the stack will be the only switches in our HQ network. 

Do I need to enable STP with the stack? We've had our single chassis for so long and haven't had the need for STP so I want to ensure I get it right from the beginning.

for me, it is always a good idea to enable STP or loop protect... for avoid error of cabling !

STP is disabled by default.

It's always good to have STP as a loop prevention mechanism in the network.
