Hello, I was wondering if anyone else had this issue where an aruba switch cannot send snmp traps as its being filtered somewhere.

1.no acls are any filtering in place from where our server that should receive these traps.

2.tested the traffic and the snmp messages stop at the switch or does not respond.

3.Traffic does not go through any firewall to where it would be getting stopped. (there is nothing in between these 2 devices, cabling, filtering, same segment and vlan so theres no default or static route it needs to use).

4.I have tried entering vrf "default"

There is no enable-snmp command to where you can turn on this service, as documentation reads community and snmp-server commands are supposed to enable this service. There is no enable snmp on an interface level.

I am wondering if anyone else encountered this issue or is there firmware patch I maybe missing somewhere, or a command or part of the switch that can be enabled? Just a thought as we are puzzled upon this issue.

What firmware version? I would be on 10.13 or later if you are not tied to an older version.

For SNMP, there are two versions, 2c or 3, which have you configured?

SNMP has a polling mechanism, and traps sent from the switch to an NMS.
    Does SNMP polling work?
Is the only problem the SNMP traps don't work?

What NMS/monitoring solution are you integrating with?

    Can you share your configuration?
