    Hi all,

I recently installed a 6300M switch with the latest firmware version. The client only manages their equipment through the GUI console. We're experiencing a problem when modifying information on the equipment (e.g., changing a port description). The edit tool is accessible to write the new information, but when validating it, we get an error message stating that we don't have Read-Write permissions. We tried recreating an administrator account, and the same problem persisted. I ran the command "https-server rest access-mode {read-only | read-write}" again, but it didn't resolve it.

Does anyone have any insight into my problem?

After a bit of research, I think it must be related to a VRF. There are two of them on the 6300s, but deleting one of the two groups doesn't resolve it.

    Have a good day everyone.

Could it be that the switch is externally managed? Example through Airwave or HPE Aruba Networking Central?

If you have the switch locally managed, and login with a manager account (operator will not allow config changes), it should work. Maybe upgrading the firmware or using a different web browser helps...

    Hello Herman,

No this switch is just localy administrate. And Aruba Central service is disabled.

I will wait a little while to let a few versions pass before updating and retry.

Go to CLI and use "show aruba-central" command to see, if it is managed by Central.

VRF is only relevant for accessing the server.
