Aruba 9004 SD-Branch Setup. AOS 10 Aruba Central Managed Devices.
When I stage 9004s for preliminary configuration before they are moved to their appropriate permanent location. Sometimes I fatfinger or implement a command from Aruba Central Out of Order. I then lose access to the device.
I can ssh to the device from another device on the network and it seems to me that the reason I lose connection to the gateway is because it is losing its default route that allows access to central.
I have tried to go into disaster recovery mode and add an IP route. It appears to take the configuration but when I look at the routing table it does not exist. Additionally I have tried the "ip default-gateway" command and I get this error message
Error: Gateway 'X.X.X.X' does not belong to any Uplink vlan. When Uplinks are configured, gateways only from Uplink vlans are allowed
I am just really flummuxed that I am missing something. I feel like if it would take the route then I could go back configuring the way its intended through central. Why does the device not implement the configurations?
