short question. How about "Live Upgrade" for Switches?

In detail: in our case we operate sites with 50 and more switches per site and we are currently discussing on how to do a site wide firmware upgrade via central.

In our environement we use a "ring" topology secured by STP Protocol. If we now start the firmware upgrade sitewide how does central secure that by a reboot of a couple of switches in  the chain the others do not suffer in their downloads or installation?

So is Central aware of the Site wide Topology to decide about a certain sequence/order of upgrade or restarts?
