Did you ever have a resolution. Debugging is not really providing enough on my end for error. I see it that the websocket is showing its writeable although shortly after it states the client bails.

Hi,
was this Gateway configured under a Mobility Conductor?
If so you have to delete a file because the Gateway tries to use the last Config saved if anything went wrong. You cann check that by:
- factory reset the gateway and enable debug to see the output.

If you see than messages like:
10:35:01 LOG: Mandatory upgrade information available [8.6.0.4-2.2.0.7_80444]
10:35:01 LOG: Controller is not fresh from factory, ignoring mandatory upgrade request
10:35:01 LOG: Received mode as MD, central as device-eucentral3.central.arubanetworks.com
you have to delete the old config file with
#delete filename /flash/ .upgrade
and after that a
#write erase all

Hi Herman
In the first time i run the command "show aruba-central " it does not had the aruba central server. I added manually..
In fact the controller is under central, but is not upgrading. Not sure is this kind of tests need to have aruba controller under AOS10.
I was expecting for the upgrade to go to AOS10, but maybe is not auto...

Guess I am missing something here

Unsure if this resolved your initial question... the screenshot just shows that it's configured. With 'show aruba-central details' you can see if the connection to Central is actually up and connected.

Hi Herman
thanks for the help
I chech this video from John, where the controller is on 8.6.
I am only checking this because in a near future I will have the need to migrate a existing MM and MC running 8.6 to Central.
Thats why I am testing with this 7005.
To get all the troubleshooting done ;)
It seems to be ok with Central since it shows enable:

Controllers in Aruba Central are only supported in SD-Branch mode or in AOS-10 mode.
I'm not sure if ArubaOS 8.6 has the code to connect to central. From the controller CLI you could check 'show aruba-central' to see if it is connecting/connected; and if the command is not available you may need to upgrade first. Also, make sure that DNS is working, you could test if 'ping device.arubanetworks.com' works...
Once the controller is connected to Central, you should upgrade to AOS-10 (or a legacy SD-Branch code version).

Hi All
I am testing to add aruba 7005 running 8.6.0.8 to central.
I have made a basic IP config on a test vlan that was connectivity to central.
I tested with a switch and it goes smootlhy to central
the controller does not connects to central
I have no dhcp so the connectivity is static IP. tested and controller can ping the "internet"
Already check aruba central and device is there under device preprovisioning
Message in audit is "Failed to initiate Upgrade. Device is not connected to Central"
What is needed on the controller side for him to get to activate and to central?
Regards
