  • 1.  Aruba Controllers Upgrade 8.7 to 8.10

    Posted Jul 10, 2023 05:47 AM

    Hi,

I have 2 Conductors and 8 managed devices all of them in the 8.7 version. This version is out of date by the end of this month and i want to update before that date.

The upgrade must be to the 8.10 as the 8.9 version is out of support since '22. Multiversion upgrade is not possible as the versions of the managed devices must be 2 versions lower than the Conductors (from 8.7 to 8.10 there are 3 jumps).

In this case, how should be the upgrade performed? What would be the behaviour of the MD if the Conductors are upgraded first? Are they disconected from the Conductors?

    thanks!

    regards :)

You should be fine. According to:

Only for the ArubaOS 8.10.0.0 LSR release, ArubaOS 8.6.0.0 is treated as an LSR despite being beyond N-3. As such a Mobility Conductor running ArubaOS 8.10.0.0 supports managed devices running ArubaOS 8.10.0.0, ArubaOS 8.9.0.0, ArubaOS 8.8.0.0, ArubaOS 8.7.0.0 and ArubaOS 8.6.0.0.
