Hello out there
I'm working with a client that has a VSX cluster that will move from a static setup to a BGP setup towards the ISP. The setup is active/standby meaning just one path is active and controlled by local pref internally and also controlling the ISP local pref using communities.
Now to the question. My assumption here is that the live upgrade will cause disruptions at least when the first device comes back and the other device goes down or am I wrong?
If I'm right,
if there a way to manually upgrade both nodes to have the opportunity to control the traffic before and between the two upgrades, to keep an active path throughout the upgrade process.
I tried to find it documented but couldn't. Hoping I'm wrong and that the traffic is unaffected during the live upgrade. I hope someone has experience of this and can advise
