  • 1.  Aruba smart rate ports for 10G uplinks

    Can the smart rate ports on the JL323A Aruba 2930M 40G 8 Smrt Rte PoE switch be used as a 10G uplink to a regular 10G port that isn't a smart rate port?

    I don't believe so. I think a non-smartrate port connected to a smart rate port will end up in a 1gb speed on the smartrate side. Link training is required.

    Yes, a 10G-capable HPE Smart Rate port is capable of connecting to a standards-compliant 10GBASE-T port at 10G speed.
