  • 1.  Aruba Virtual WLC - Guest User Access

    Good Day,

    Currently the issue is as follows:

    Guest user connects to Guest SSID, user receives an IP address however when browsing to the Guest landing / splash / login page the browser returns with "page cannot be displayed"

    When comparing DHCP IP address assignment I see that the Corporate SSID gives a internal DNS server IP, but the Guest receives a DNS Server IP not internal ?

    Both device assigned IP's are the Corporate Data subnet just the DNS server IP differs 

    Any advice on where to look will be apricated

    Where is the Captive Portal hosted, on the WLC or an external source? Do you mean the guest receives an external DNS server...if so can this server resolve the URL of your Captive Portal Authentication Profile URL?

    Pre-authenticated guest role should have access/reachability to clearpass ip to landed on captive portal. if you have external dns server you can go through with below discussion
