I want to configure MCR, MC virtual appliance based on ArubaOS 8.

We know that there are 850 APs in total and that we need 1K licenses each for MCR-VA and MC-VA, and 850 licenses each for CAP and PEF.

Server hardware specifications are as follows.
    CPU : Intel Xeon-Silver 4216 (2.1GHz/16-core/100W)
    MEM : 64GB
    Storage : SSD 1TB (RAID 1)
    NIC : 10G SFP+ 2port

There are a total of two hardware servers, and MCR-VA and MC-VA will be installed on each server.
The hardware server uses the ESXi 8 version.

In general, the manufacturer recommends using the hardware appliance for the MC.

But I'm trying to use virtualization from a cost-efficiency perspective, but can MC performance be an issue given the number of APs I'm going to operate on?

    Thank you

ESXi 8 seems not supported, only up to 7.

Yes you can get into performance issues, which on virtual is less predictable than on dedicated hardware. With hardware you can get higher performance than with VM, but unsure if that is relevant in your case as 8 Gbps is close to the 10G port of your server.

The system requirements (cpu/mem/disk) are written here.

I would recommend to validate your design with your Aruba partner, before you make a decision.

    Thanks for the advice.

As you advised, I design for ESXi 7 instead of ESXi 8.

We believe that the server's hardware is designed based on the VMC-1K requirements, so it can accommodate the VMC's maximum throughput of 8 Gbps.

After installing VMC on 2 servers, each VMC will operate between 400-500 APs.

Currently, the 7220 controller is operating in master controller mode, and two 7210 controllers are operating with 850 APs split in half.
The risk is that if one 7210 controller fails, the other 7210 controllers will not be able to accommodate all the APs.

Also, due to several functional limitations of the 7220 controller's master controller mode, we considered the need for a dedicated mobility conductor.

RAP is not configured in the existing operating environment.

Diagram looks fine at first glance, however it's best to get this validated with your Aruba partner or Aruba support including all the details. It's easy to overlook things.
